The recent acquisition of contact centre solutions provider, Velociti, by CCI, from the Blue Label Telecoms Group, cements the group's position as the leading outsourcer of high quality customer, sales and relationship management services, to leading blue chip companies in the financial services, retail, leisure, and telecommunications sectors.

CCI, comprising CCI South Africa, CCI SA, and Careerbox, operates from a R250 million, custom-built Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) Centre of Excellence in Umhlanga, Durban.

“We are hugely excited at the acquisition of Velociti and its 700-strong staff, as it immediately doubles our domestic footprint and forms part of a broader strategy to develop and deliver high quality customer, sales and relationship management services from multiple sites in South Africa and further afield,” says chief executive officer, Martin Roe.

“Our substantial investment in the building earlier this year and our commitment to growing the business, through acquisitions such as this one, demonstrates our confidence in Durban as the premier global destination of high quality voice interactions and our anticipation of the potential for growth in the province.”

CCI South Africa is already the largest international outsourcer in South Africa and its 3,000 employees are in contact with customers primarily from the UK and Australia 24 hours a day.

Careerbox, recruits and trains staff for the CCI group of companies and works in partnership with The Rockefeller Foundation, assisting disadvantaged youth find employment within the digital environment, through their Digital Jobs Africa initiative. Earlier this month, Careerbox, placed their 2000th full-time employee.
